Antabuse (disulfram) is prescribed to people diagnosed with chronic alcoholism who failed to succeed using other methods of treatment. Antabuse works in a way different from traditional drugs of the kind – it interferes with the process of alcohol metabolism and causes unpleasant effects when even small amounts of alcohol are consumed.
